Mornings and Goodbyes.
By Courtney Perkins
Pause. The overwhelm.
The incessant analysis of this energetic dance;
how it all interplays, the passings and goings
the truth of ever-growing, opportunities of change.
The unfolding of our hearts, breaking down the armor
lose the conditions, the fake beliefs
who you were told to be.
See the flesh, the raw muscle, the soul filled vessel
of light and love and potential
to just be. Sweet love.
To be you.
Without worry or stress
overworking to impress
simply you, in all your complexity.
Conundrums cease for there’s nothing to prove,
figure out, or compete for.
You simply are.
The most complete, imperfect, beautiful creation there could be.
As you are, let it go, holding on to the titles and roles.
The commitments and names,
I am’s, full of shame.
Let if flow, fly away.
I am changing, each moment, a new me emerges.
I am love and joy, peace and grace.
I am clear, confident, committed to self love.
For I am great. Yes. I am great.
Sometimes confused, overwhelmed with emotion,
old patterns, trauma to unblended from.
Yet here I am.
In all my magical glory.
Existing, creating, breathing
wandering, wondering.
With depth and awareness for this gift,
This life, this moment. There are so many.
May we meet them with grace and gratitude.
For you’re exactly where you’re meant to be
And you will only move forward
In due time.
Be patient, enjoy the ride.
